All you need is a cup of oats, 4 cups of water, a bit of salt and a blender.
Oh, and a mesh bag.
Seriously, it's that simple. I usually let the oats soak for about 20 minutes before blendering. After the blender, I pour the mixture through the mesh bag into a big bowl, squeeze out all the water and pour it all in a glass bottle (which I've now reused about 20 times).
It does separate a bit, but we just shake it before using it. Sometimes I add a bit of vanilla extract to add some flavor (at the end), sometimes I add a couple of dried dates (while soaking) for some extra sweetness.
Honestly, you can add whatever you want to add some extra flavor.
