Why you should have sunflower seeds every day
Rich in vitamins, minerals and healthy fats, sunflower seeds are good for the bones and your cholesterol levels. The many nutrients found in the fruits of the sunflower plant might also play a role in reducing your risk of heart disease and type 2 diabetes, next to a whole other range of health benefits. So yes, sunflower seeds should be part of your diet.
You can nibble on them in nut and seed mixes and on breads, but you can also add them to your granola and muesli, or in your salads.
I got these sunflower seeds from Cero and well, they're perfectly good sunflower seeds. I honestly can't tell the difference with other brands...
What I love about the products from Zero waste company Cero is that they come in a biodegradable pouch (the sticker is even compostable) and NO plastic is used in their supply chain. I'll be composting all packaging in my home compost bin and I'll be able to use it to feed my plants, how cool is that!
