Review: Bristle Toothbrushes and Floss

Review: Bristle Toothbrushes and Floss

Have you ever visited a sustainable (online) shop where they don't offer bamboo products?!?! An incredible amount of sustainable products are now made of bamboo, and one of the biggests swaps you can make is moving from a plastic toothbrush to a bamboo toothbrush.

We Are Bristle gifted me a wonderful package of a toothbrush and floss. I really like their toothbrushes, and absolutely LOVE their floss.

In my opinion, bamboo toothbrushes aren't the most wonderful swap ever because I find the bamboo on the top of the brush, above the part where it meets the bristles, slightly too thick. But then again, I don't like electric toothbrushes because there aren't enough bristles and I like to long row of bristles in a non-electric brush much better. It's been a struggle for years and I can never decide which I like more and I swap constantly.

And now, the floss.

I don't floss often enough, mainly because I find plastic floss too slippery in my hands, while plastic-free and vegan floss breaks way too easily. This floss from Bristle is absolutely amazing! Me and my husband both love it. It doesn't break, it doesn't slip out of your fingers and my gums have only bled a tiny bit once (usually I have two or three bits that bleed every time I floss). So if you haven't yet found the perfect floss, head on over the Bristle NOW!

The wonderful thing about Bristle is that they do subscription boxes, so you don't need to think about replacing your toothbrush and buying new floss, it'll just show up to your doorstep!

About Bristle

Bristle is here to keep things simple. All they want to do, is to make it affordable for everyone in the UK to have access to high-quality, planet-friendly dental products. They make it easy for you to ditch plastic with their subscription boxes. Their production processes are completely transparent and sustainable and I love their minimal-impact packaging.

The Bristle toothbrush is biodegradable and their bristles are made of BPA-free nylon. You just have to take the bristles out when you're done and pop your brush with you compost (not home compost, as that will takes months)! Or you can do something else creative with them, and reuse them. Has anyone seen that awesome video of those cute shower racks?

Anyway, all of their packaging is also compostable and recyclable, as is their wonderful floss (which is the best floss me and my husband have tried since our sustainable journey - It's so much better than the Georganics one!).
